This mystery/romance "WHILE THE PATIENT SLEPT" tells the story of a wealthy elderly man, who was waiting for his estranged family to arrive, at his summons. He reads a telegram and then he collapses. The doctor is called and he then leaves his patient's care to an experienced visiting nurse. When a murder occurs amongst the relatives the nurse turns amateur detective to aid the police. NURSE.
