theonlywoman It was probably a watered down version made for stores? I can't imagine this going for $800 unless it was a very long time ago, before he died and there was something defective about it. I'd be surprised if this was mass produced but I could be wrong. This dress will go in the five figures now.

desikurdy @theonlywoman no it was not at all. It was authentic in mint condition in France. I buy many rare archive pieces for unbelievable prices. Been doin this for years . Some people want to get rid of things quickly or send them to consignment shops that make the pricing .

desikurdy @theonlywoman I’ve got a bunch of rare archive 1998 joan pieces and the most I’ve ever paid for mcqueen is $2000.

theonlywoman Yeah I have Joan and other 90s pieces too, as well as early 2000s, some of which were literally what the models wore on the runway. My friends knew him. They aren't worth much unless they were the exact piece shown on the runway, and most of those were made in small numbers. The adjective "archive" is meaningless when describing what you have unless you give examples, preferably with photos, and what you paid for each.

desikurdy @theonlywoman I think it’s s not personal to ask what I’ve paid for each piece. The most I’ve paid for vintage runway mcqueen pieces from the 90s as I stated is $2000.
