The open weave design provides a modernist look with a unique texture. Similar to the appearance of burlap. It has a rich patina, lightly buffed to show the depth. And also to show that it could be polished brightly, if so desired. An interesting concave form that is thicker along the edges giving it plenty of strength. The edges are rolled under on the back to offer comfort to the wearer. The ends gradually widen and flatten out. An overall gorgeous piece! Excellent condition.
