Vtg Nittsjo Keramik Swedish Royal Guard Figure Bolander Figurine

A whimsical figure of a Swedish Royal Guard, or Palace Guard made from red clay and stamped Nittsjo Sweeden on the bottom and the outline of a dove. Glazed over all colors. The only item of its kind that I can find anywhere, here on eBay, in books, on the internet. A perfect addition to a mid century MCM collection of Scandinavian or Swedish art pottery, or the ultimate Nittsjo collector item! Condition is good with no chips or cracks but there is crazing over brown head parts. Stands 7.75" tall and is 4.5" wide at the base. Price reflects condition and rarity of the item.
