Vtg JAMES AVERY Victorian clasped hands ring, sterling Fede ring Size 5 * retired design- the 2 hands holding is a personal favorite of mine. Commonly called a Fede ring * stamped STER for solid sterling, hallmarked JA and the candelabra mark for designer James Avery * preowned condition- has blemishes and patina from vintage age; I think it adds a lot of character to this particular ring, considering the history of “Fede” 📖📚💛 A fede ring is a ring in which two hands clasp, as if in friendship, love or betrothal. The design was used in Ancient Rome, maybe earlier.
