Vtg 80s Victor Costa Blue Strapless Ruched Drop Waist Evening Gown Formal XS

This beautiful Victor Costa evening gown for Saks Fifth Avenue dates to the 1980s and is definitely a statement piece! The strapless, boned, ruched drop-waist bodice is accentuated with a large rosette before joining a voluminous full skirt supported by a stiff double layer of crinoline netting. I believe that this dress would best fit a modern XS, but please refer to the approximate flat lay measurements below. Pit to pit: 16.5in Full bust measured from the inside: app. 33.5in Waist: 13in Hips: app. 18in Length: app. 52in This dress is in very good vintage condition! I made some mends including basting some torn edges of the crinoline petticoat, adding some stitching along the bodice to keep the lining in place, and tacking down some popped ruching, and found a small, faint mark on the back skirt.
