THIS IS A RARE FIND !!! Weighs 43.4 GRAMS VINTAGE 70’s Large Hawaiian Puka Shell Graduated Necklace 16” Surfer Boho Made By Me Well, here it goes trying to describe this. I made this myself in the 1970s from shells that I picked up here in Kona Hawaii along a beach that we call the OLD A BEACH The meaning of the name of the beach is because it used to be the OLD AIRPORT Anyway, it took me months and months, but I picked them up one at a time and then sorted through them and put them in order so they the biggest one was in the center and it graduated out the biggest shells in the center are a half inch in diameter and then they graduate up to tiny ones at the top. It has a silver heart lobster clap I don’t have any way to weigh it as far as grams go. so I weighed it on one of those little kitchen scales and it weighed 1.55 ounces. It has a good weight to it It’s in really good condition. The clasp is in good shape. You can’t find puka shells anymore on the beaches for some reason they’re all gone so this is a piece of history. The colors are the natural colors that the shells were from day one I’ve always kept this very close to me and it was very special in my life, but as I get older, I believe it’s time to let it move on to a new owner to enjoy it 🌴
