Vtg 1971 Lot Of 18 Paquet Cruise Line History Items Ephemera M. S. Renaissance Cruise Ship We were on the M. S. Renaissance Cruise Ship twice. Once in March of 1971 and the second time February 1977. This is our collection of all the Paquet Ship souvenirs and memorabilia of those two cruises put together. Wonderful memories and the M. S. Renaissance was a beautiful ship. A Paquet cloth napkin 21 1/2" x 15" (slightly stained) 7 Plastic luggage tags (some are cleaner than others) 4 Croisieres PAQUET envelops with the Ports of Call written on them (1977 cruise) 1 Cocktail stirrer 1 Program of Tours Ashore March 2-19, 1971 Stationery holder "Vue De Marseille" (envelops and tablet) 1 Partial Paquet Matchbook Made In France 3 Tastevin cups (two 4" and one 41/2") PAQUET Lines 1 Paquet logo ashtray (crack down the middle) Paquet Line She entered service as a dual purpose vessel, ferrying passengers from Marseilles, France to Haifa, Israel, and also operating Eastern Mediterranean cruises. She sailed on these itineraries successfully for 4 years. In 1970, due to fierce competition from the commercial jet industry, Paquet unestablished Compagnie Francaise de Navigation, and founded the new subsidiary Nouvelle Compagnie de Paquebots. For the new company she began operating a transatlantic route from Marseilles to New York City. After 11 years of service with her original owners she was sold to Epirotiki Line. Thanks for looking.
