Vostok-Europe Radio Room, 32-Jewel Automatic Watch with Grey-Blue Dial #595A534 This is the hard to find brushed stainless steel case. It is a total head turner watch but simply too big for my wrist. The watch features a 32 jewel decorated automatic 2432 Vostok movement that is viewable via an exhibition window case back. The movement is housed in a 48mm diameter 316L surgical grade stainless steel case. The distinctive hands and hour markings are treated with SuperLuminova and glow in the dark when charged with a light source. The date is displayed between 4:00 and 5:00 on the dial and a 24-hour day and night indicator is in the center of the dial. The crown is a screw-down type and water resistance is to 200 meters. Comes on a black leather strap with a thin blue stripe down the center and rivets at the lugs. Radio Room Watch This watch by Vostok Europe commemorates the Radio Room Act of 1912, a direct result of the Titanic disaster, created mandatory intervals of 3 minutes of radio silence for emergency flash traffic only. The pie pieces on the dial represent these radio silence periods. This watch is inspired by the original Vostok radio room clocks used in Russian Naval vessels for decades through to today.
