Here we have some classic midschool BMX/Freestyle stickers. Volume Bike company put out some tough as nails skatepark, dirt jump, flatland and BMX frames in the mid 90s. this was that period when BMX was in a limbo. The large Bike companies were not serious about supporting the sport and had started focusing on mountain bikes and road bikes. they had made some token mild improvements to the frames they were making. They started making the dropouts a little thicker but most were still cutting the dropouts for 3/8" tiny axles on front and rear. They were still using 7/8" handlebar tubing. A big tire was 20x1.90. They were still putting frame standing platforms and dropout standing spots on frames. You could grind right through your chain ⛓️ as the dropout did not protect anything. Yet somehow the bikes weighed like 40lbs.
Volume went back to the diamond frame but with bearings that sat in the frame with no cups. Seat tubes piercing the top tube. Big gussets under the down tube. true 1/2" axle cuts in the dropouts with them dropping down enough to cover the freewheel. they were indestructible. And weighed the same as a Haro or GT of the Era.
For once a Company thought about making sure the frame didn't crack in the usual places. dropouts were not going to bend but you could taper tubing, cut reliefs in the seat Tube, cnc the BB and head tube to save weight.
