This illustration by Helen Dryden, appeared on the July 1, 1918 cover of Vogue, and the Issue is titled “Hot Weather Fashions Number”. It is a beautiful woman in a stunning blue polka dotted layered ruffle gown. She holds a tri corner hat and cries out with a salute to the symbol of France, a magnificently colored gallic rooster.
This original poster was published in the 70s and it is in excellent condition with sharp corners. The protective covering has never been removed. (which makes it hard to photograph). It is a reprint of a past cover. Condé Nast had covers commissioned from well known artist and other designers of the time to reflect the fashion arts and society of the period until around the 1930s when photography began to take over.
