Vntg 1970's Stegosaurus & Godzilla Battery Operated Remote Control Doesn't work

Vintage 1970's Stegosaurus Battery Operated Remote Control Toy - Doesn't work There are some marks here and there. The battery box was empty and looked to be in good shape but when I put new batteries in they didn’t work. Maybe you can fix them. Says Radio Shack on the front emote controls.
