The performance of the Shimano Acera derailleur coupled with the Shimano SL-TX Tourney shifter is impeccable. The shifts are smooth and precise, while the light-action thumb lever responds quickly. The V-Brakes, by Tektro, are the descendants of early mountain racing designs and as such, afford the rider precise and reliable braking.
