Vintage 40s-50s Italian Hand Painted Dish Ashtray 6273 Italy

A stunning piece of hand-painted Italian artwork. This dish or ashtray is from the 1940s and was brought here to United States from Italy in the late 40s by my best friend‘s father who was in the army at the time. I can find nothing like it online to compare it to but it does have a very interesting painting of a clown dressed fisherman with all different sizes and shapes of fish pointing them in a basket. Beautiful colors of turquoise white yellow and black and red on a wood look ceramic glaze base. it is in mint vintage condition with no chips scratches cracks or defects of any kind. It is 18 1/4 inches long and 9 inches wide and a half inch deep. Yea  With a shape that is as eye-catching as the various glaze textures and colors it comes in, the iconic boomerang ashtray comes in every material possible, from ceramic for the 40s, glass in the 60s 50s and Bakelite in the 60s and 70s. Smoke maybe off the to do list today but this mid-century social activities find some of the most intriguing atomic particles.
