Vintage unisex leather briefcase shoulder bag backpack tote dark brown maroon

I got this item at a thrift store for a Halloween costume and didn’t even up using it. It’s a really pretty vintage vibe with the braided edges and maroon brown color. It feels and looks like it might be leather but I’m sure it isn’t. It’s very stiff and doesn’t really bend and stretch without being full. There’s 2 straps but I think only the longer one is authentic to the bag. I’m wondering if maybe using the 2 could make it a backpack though. The straps are removable. It’s a little hard to get them back on though. They don’t really open and close easily but if you take your time and use elbow grease it’s functional. There’s some water marks I think on the bottom as shown in images. No stains or tears or rips or holes other than this. Please closely reference all images prior to purchasing. It’s a good vintage piece but has ware. I cannot find any other information online or on the bag for a brand. It measures roughly 16 x 13x 5 but very stiff to open so it could maybe be stretched to be slightly fatter. The shorter strap is 40 inches long and the longer one 48 inches at its longest adjustable point. Both measurements are a little rough.
