Beautiful 1940 style pinup sailor dress. Super full skirt trimmed with white ribbon piping, and a charming sailor collar trimmed in the same ribbon. Accented by a sweet red chiffon neckerchief. Nipped, fitted waist for a flattering look. I believe this was sold through ModCloth, and the company is Rock Steady. I don’t know if they’re still in business, but they are similar to Collectif and Vixen by Michelle Pitt. It looks black in my photos, but it is actually a very deep navy. Slightly stretchy fabric, comfy to wear, very nice quality. I think I used this once for a Fourth of July party, and it’s been in my closet ever since. Great for swing dancing, vintage, rockabilly or even casual lolita for the summer. Or maybe a closet Sailor Moon cosplay?
