Vintage sterling silver Ward Brothers Scottish Luckenbooth brooch. Stunning piece - two intertwined hearts representing love and a crown representing loyalty. This is a traditional Scottish love token and often given as a betrothal or wedding brooch, or used as charms to protect a baby or help a nursing mother. Similar to the Claddagh, the design dates back to about the 17th century. This one is particularly detailed, with beautiful ornately detailed hearts and crown, and 6 dark purple faceted rhinestone gems.
