Vintage 80’s goth purchased at Kensington Market in London.
This is a gorgeous, fully adjustable heavy rubber belt trimmed with black lace, silver studs and silver eyelets.
Heavy duty snaps at the back provide secure closure and the satin ribbon lacing at the front allows for a completely custom fit.
The belt is made of 2 mm thick black rubber with a mottled sponge painted pattern in purple and grey.
There are flaws- the lace has come away from one grommet as shown in photo. One eyelet is missing and the rubber is torn in that spot. Both should be easy to fix ( or leave the last spot unlaced).
The belt measures 35” long end to end.
From the innermost snaps to the middle of the other snap is roughly 27” so that’s the smallest waist that this belt can accommodate.
11” long at the front, inclusive of lace trim.
8” long at the back, inclusive of lace trim.
The trim itself is 5” long at its longest.
This can be worn over dresses, bustiers, corsets and shirts, whatever your style is.
There is no brand or makers mark on this and I can’t remember which shop I bought it from. I think it came from Artificial Eye.
