Vintage replica bathing suit

This is an amazing find! This swimsuit appears to be a replica of a vintage (50s or 60s?) pattern, handmade by an excellent sewist. The outer fabric may be cotton or a very light wool or silk blended with spandex, so it may be a bit heavier when wet compared to modern swimsuit material. The bottom and the front of the top are also lined with a white Lycra-like fabric. There is a zipper at the back. This is a one-piece swimsuit. It looks as if it was never worn; if not it was extremely well cared for. Whatever the story is behind this beauty, it needs to be continued!
