Vintage polyester shirt

This shirt seems like it was made circa 1983. It has unique stitching and a boxy shape when laid flat. The tag says size 40, not sure what that means, but it looks like it would be super cute as a L or XL. 24" pit to pit 25" shoulder to hem No obvious stains, but a tiny snag here or there. 50%cotton 50%polyester
