Michiyuki were traditionally worn over the kimono to help protect it from the outside elements. The square neckline helps to show off the kimono underneath. Michiyuki have an invisible front pocket on the right side. It can be worn as a minidress and looks cute with a belt and leggings! It can fit a range of sizes, especially if you wear it as a shirt with Western skirt beneath as this helps if you cannot fully close over your hips. Please note this is vintage fabrix so it will have an odor! I usually air mine out to reduce the smell. Flat measurements: 20" wide 33" long This particular michiyuki feels a bit like cotton exterior to me, though I'm not 100% sure! The flowers look like peonies to me. Interior lining is silk.
