*Vintage*, handmade SILK dress

Made by my mother for me around 1991-92, this is shantung silk, so it has a slight “slub” (see closeup of fabric), and more of a cotton feel. Fabric was piece-dyed, not yarn-dyed, so there are some tiny white slubs. Bust 36”, waist 29”; hips 34” flat, 40” thru pleats. Back neck length 16”, waist to hem 24”, hem circumference 45”. Intended to hit at knee, and to wear w/ an inch or 2 of ease. Shoulder pads could be removed. No zipper; closes at front w/ buttons, plus hook & snaps.
