Vintage hand knit 50s sweater cardigan

This gorgeous toddler size sweater was hand knit by my incredibly talented grandmother for my uncle in 1952 or 1953. Somehow it's in perfect condition. The buttons are pearlized and gorgeous. The black and white picture is my adorable uncle wearing the sweater. It is so beautiful but has been sitting in a bag for 70 years and I want it to have a second life. Hopefully even more than just one more life. My guess is this is for a two year old but it could be 3T.
