Vintage early1900century Guan Yu- Chinese God of War carving- possibly Rose wood

solid, petrified wood carving is vintage broken finger and missing staff/rod Guan Yu is called the Chinese God of war. He served the ancient Chinese warlord under Liu Bi. During the Han Dynasty, he was alive. Guan Yu is one of the most famous characters in Chinese history. However, it is believed that many of the stories about it are unrealistic. Guan is famous because he has been seen as righteous and loyal. Guan Yu is common, especially in southern China and Taiwan. He is a significant figure in the Chinese religion. Forty years after his death, he received the title of Marquis Zhuangmou. It shows his importance to the ancient Chinese. Later, von was rewarded with the titles of Duke and Prince.
