the segment in front are genuine pearls. some are incredibly shiny and others are chalky. overall they look fine . the others do have a knot between them but seem too perfect but as others are real I really don't know. the hook chain is a bronze.

dzoobaby I think the irregularly shaped pearls are baroque freshwater pearls. Most pearls out there are freshwater cultured pearls. Very pretty though! I love pearls. They are flattering to all complexions/skin tones. I inherited a beautiful necklace of pearls from my great aunt that were worn by my mother and another aunt in their weddings and I also wore them in mine (something old). I hardly wear them because they need to be restrung.
