jewels_by_lois Looks like damascene and also mimics the technique in Toledo Spain wheee threads of metal are hammered into a design. It’s not the ladder but just wanted to pass along info. Beautiful piece!

yesyas @jewels_by_lois appreciate this insight and information! I’ll look into this technique some more. This piece was handed down from a family member that traveled the world a lot and don’t know where they would have purchased it which doesn’t help narrow down the country of origin.

jewels_by_lois @yesyas I wouldn’t be surprised if it was from their travels ! It’s etched and not hammered metal but it’s definitely the dramascene style. I love googling about jewelry lol.
