Vintage Women’s Chanel-Inspired Wool Suit - Size 8-10

* Amazing, classic late 1950s to early 1960s women’s wool suit by Davidow and sold by Joske’s of Texas * Suit is a very soft wool plaid in shades of gray and brown with a gray lining - not itchy at all! * Classic Chanel styling with cropped boxy jacket with 3/4 length sleeves and a pencil skirt with side-zip and kick pleat * Jacket is fully lined and skirt is half lined in back * No size tag, but fits like a 8-10 * Jacket - 20” pit-to-pit, 19” sleeve, 20.5” long from shoulder * Skirt - 15.25” across waist, 20.5” across at hip, 28.25” long * In amazing condition for its age. Incredible hand-made details that you don’t find on suits any more! * From a non-smoking home About Davidow suits: The William H. Davidow and Sons company were known for their tailored suits. Davidow suits were always wonderfully cut and made, using integral features of the fabric rather than applied detail. By the 1960s they were producing copies of Chanel-designed suits — a classic box jacket suit with straight skirts that could be found in better department stores across the USA. VINTAGE DISCLAIMER: It is normal for vintage clothing to have age to it, and even when in excellent condition, they show wear. They are not new items. Even the most cared for vintage item of clothing is likely to have some wear and tear and can commonly have tiny spots/marks, fading/yellowing, or pin holes. I attempt to present all damage by describing and photographing it but sometimes little things get by me.
