Vintage Wilesco #D14 Stationary Teaching Toy Live Steam Engine D 14 - Germany

Vintage German operational toy steam engine by Wilesco. Made of metal. NOTE: Smoke stack is missing. Not sure if all other components are complete. Item has NOT been tested and is in as is condition. Please refer to photos for scale and condition. This is the description from the manufacturer: The Wilesco D14 is a space-saving steam engine. As the only model in the Wilesco line of model steam engines, the D14 is delivered with the unit built onto the boiler. The 140 x 55 mm boiler with 250 cm³ volume and the heavy flywheel with 80 mm diameter provide a powerful operating time per boiler fill. This model, heated with our dry fuel Witabs, also has a particularly long run time. During operation, the power engine purrs like a Swiss clock and runs almost without vibrations. The sounds of this power engine can be elicited during operation by means of the dome steam whistle, which can be operated via a small lever. By directing the condensate into a condensate water tray below the chimney, real "smoke" (steam) emerges from the chimney and gives the whole event a very authentic touch. Please always make sure that the steam engine is not operated without sufficient water filling in the boiler. The water level must always be visible at least at the bottom of the sight glass.
