Vintage West Bend USA Stoneware Bean Crock with Lid This is a heavy ceramic pot for the oven to table, display and collector. It's not electric crock, but old school! It's great for stews or roasts, even small chickens, potatoes & onions, stuffed peppers or cabbage, beans of all kinds--it keeps the heat uniform, but it's also a nice slow cooker. Use in oven-- but I'd not use it on stove top for cooking, though it's great to sit there hot. Adorable Mid century print and design. Very stylish and such wonderful, useful period pieces. Makes for great dry storage, even cookie jar--fabulous display/collector piece. Memorable gift. (I have 2 more West Bend MCM Crocks--similar but not exactly the same style or size.
