Vintage Weico Beverage Carafe Server w/ Cork Stopper

Vintage Weico Beverage Carafe Server w/ Cork Stopper. Mid century Weico Beverage Carafe server with Cork Stopper featuring a silver patterned metal overlay collar and black plastic handle. This server has the Atomic Starburst Pattern in gold around the glass base. Mostly all of the carafes made by Weico had the glass stamped Pyrex Brand Glassware. As such, the carafes were stamped Pyrex brand glass made for Weico. This particular carafe is stamped Heat Proof Weico Chicago 12, IL. Made in USA. Since this carafe is not stamped Pyrex Brand Glass, I have no idea if Pyrex did make the glass and a different stamp was used. I found an old advertisement, which is included in the pictures, and reads Weico Beverage Servers made with Genuine Pyrex Brand Glass. So, again I am not positive if this is Pyrex glass. The carafe measures approx. 9" high to the top of the cork. The base measures approx. 6" in diameter at its widest point. The top opening measures approx. 2" in diameter. Capacity is approx. 1 1/2 quarts (48 oz.). The black plastic handle attaches securely to the silver patterned metal collar. Since the glass is heat proof, this carafe is ideal for your favorite hot or cold beverages. The carafe is in overall excellent condition. The starburst pattern has a few spots of light wear. There is some minor wear around the bottom portion of the base from storage. The silver collar has some light wear. A cool vintage item that would look good in the kitchen or on the bar!
