Vintage EG Webster & Son, Lion Heraldic Coat of Arms, Scalloped Clam Silver Plate Bowl*.
Probably made between 1928 to 1959.
Fluted and scallop-shaped, this item bears the coat of arms on its handle, and the insignia of its manufacturer appears on the underside.
It can serve as a trinket dish, jewelry holder, or fruit bowl.
The dish is in overall excellent shape with no dents or bends and with light scratches - probably from someone using an abrasive to shine it - , and a small black mark; see photo.
NOTE: Vintage and secondhand items may show signs of wear, which is typical for their age and use.
Please read the entire description and look at all photos for better measurements and details.
Elizur G. Webster of Brooklyn, New York, partnered with his son Fred in 1886 to continue the silver plating business he had created decades earlier. The business was absorbed by the International Silver Company in 1928, as seen on the back stamp.
