This is a beautiful unsigned Walter Lampl sterling and rhinestone Art Moderne ribbon brooch from the 1940s. The brooch has a sterling ribbon bow design with a large rectangular, deep purple rhinestone as a focal point. The prong set rhinestone has an open back, decorative setting. The brooch is marked STERLING on the back. Some Lampl jewelry pieces are unsigned, but are recognized as Lampl because they are identical to signed pieces, as is this brooch. The Walter Lampl company motto was “Creators of the Unusual as Usual”, and this beautiful brooch shows that flair.
