Vintage Wade Irish Porcelain Tankard Mug, Green Blue Shamrocks, Made in Ireland

- Mug or Tankard - by Wade Porcelain - Made in Ireland - Features a series of 4 bands of decorations with a band of shamrocks in the center. I've seen a lot of examples of this mug, but very few with the Shamrock band. - Class Wade colors of blue and green with a brown or tan overglaze - Interior: Blue with an overglaze band at the edge - Bottom is footed - Figural handle is shaped like a harp and is blue on one side and has the overglaze over the blue on the other.. - Height: 5 1/5" - Based on my research the mark on this appears to have been introduced in 1954. MARKS: incised on the bottom - Irish Porcelain (in script) - A shamrock with the letter "K" in the middle (the potter's monogram) - Made in Ireland CONDITION: Very good pre-owned condition.
