Vintage WESTMORELAND GLASS Compote ENGLISH HOBNAIL Diamond Pattern

The English hobnail pattern had been made in a variety of colored glasses between 1925 and 1931 and continued to be made in crystal through the 1960's. An attractive compote to serve jams, jellies, cranberries for thanksgiving, appetizer dips, chocolate or strawberry sauce for ice cream, candy, nuts, mints for wedding! A trinket dish for jewelry, scented soaps, or any manner of the tiny! No chips or cracks. The glass on the inside edge shows a darker scalloping that is part of the glass production of the second layer inside surface of the bowl.
