vintagevulture Hey pretty. It's part of the 60's Twins collection. I have never seen this one. But OMG so cute. There are twin strawberries and birds and dogs and hearts and so on. There are a few other twin girls ones I have seen but not this one. As far as price goes. Ugh I don't even know. 🎶💚🎶

And I can't find them any where 😤😤 googley eye twins - there from that same time period as GANZ - he didn't make a lot of these it's just not like a Weiss brooch - which makes it even more rare - I'll find them again - they are twins - but I'm pretty sure from the 50s

oliviaslair @cicikegley Oh good lord put me to work! lol!! I ran across this brooch in the past & its a puzzler. Cartier originally did these two, called "dancing pixies" they were 18k with sapphire eyes. Wicked looking little beasts! There are two costume versions, one is horrible & not signed, then yours, which except for the dress, (oddly, the bad version has the dress like Cartiers), yours is an exact match with the arms & legs identical to Cartier, but Cartier did not have stones in the dress.

oliviaslair @cicikegley Now, the weird part. Yes, the cartouche is correct for 1952, however, I'm not sure if the googly eye metal brooches came out prior to mid 60s, which I would have said right off was mid 60s. Plus Weiss closed in '71. The back of the brooch is all correct for Weiss, all Weiss will have a smooth, plated, non textured back, that's how you can tell the difference between the fake stuff they are pumping out.

oliviaslair @cicikegley He,(Albert...you know, first name basis & all lol) only used Swarovski, & there is a Marcasite rhinestone which you can hardly tell the difference between it and real. So what I have to check out is the cartouche. There are a couple possibilities, but most definitly this is a rare creature!! Just like YOU!!!!!!~ xoxoxox
