Vintage Victorian Celluloid Collar Box

This is a Victorian era celluloid collar box. Closed it is 5" tall and 6" wide. Top features an image of a French Nobleman and his Lady with a floral boarder in cream celluloid, note there is some minor peeling to the top image (pictured). Front features a chromolithograph print from Frances Brundage of four girls. Beautiful detailed filigree and ribbed pattern on the sides in cream celluloid, note there is a small section where the outer layer of celluloid has peeled away (pictured). Inside is lined with pastel pink fabric and shows normal wear given the age of the piece. Everything is original and still a very beautiful piece given the minor wear. The practical function of a collar box was to store detachable collars from shirts. Please see the photos.
