barnebey4 @dianafavor58 I was born and raised in San Antonio. I lived all over the state when I was a young adult, but not the Valley. Closest I ever got was Rockport-Fulton or Corpus. I don't know which is closer. I've lived in Texas City for 35 years now. My husband grew up here, and we raised our son here. All of us are native, but Bill is 6th generation,Tommy is 7th. barnebey4 @dianafavor58 I have been to Poteet, many times. My Uncle Walker had a place down near there. It's very nice. Of course, there's only one place in Texas that not nice, but that is because of their inhabitants. North Texas, north of Ft. Worth and east of Wichita Falls. It's the only place I'll never go again. Bryson, Jack County. Miserable town.
