• Vintage Tura Precription bifocal glasses
• Excellent condition with no visible scratches on the lens
• Subtle tint of a rose color along the face, mostly at the top.
• From what I can make out they are Marked Mod-311, TAU O 136 on the right arm and Frame Japan 136 in the left arm
• Arm width is approximately 5 1/4”

@kmwatches These were from an estate sale. Other than what is shown in the pics I have no other information but they do appear to be bi-focals. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

And the bifocal is an unknown prescription but the other part of the lenses are they clear or do they also magnify??

if it's plastic and you tap on it with your nail, if it sounds hollow it's plastic. I'm looking for glass- very important, so it doesn't fog up. Wish there was a way to guess approximation on the bifocal reader part. What would be your best guess?

After a really close inspection, I’m afraid I still can’t determine if they are glass or plastic. I’m now leaning towards plastic because they are pretty thin and lightweight.

@leahturner22007 Also, I put them on and the entire lens seems to be prescriptive with the bifocal only being magnified. I believe that most people would buy these for the frame to add their own lenses with their own prescription. That way the lens is exactly what you want. Hope this helps😊
