I picked up this vintage Shakespearean or Renaissance style jacket in a costume shop to wear at a Renaissance Fair. I believe it's made for a man, but I wore it. I'd say it's Unisex. It's beautifully made and tailored. Made of black velveteen with ribbed trim and brass buttons. Details: Since it was worn in plays, there is some wear to the velveteen along the underarms. There are also buttons missing on one sleeve. But all the front buttons are there and intact. Some of the ribbing needs to be sewn back securely, to the jacket, so if you're handy with a needle, you can tidy up the look. It is not lined. It is sold as is. The high collar and flourish at the shoulders make it a beautiful period piece. Size is not labeled. II'm estimating it's a Medium. So here are the measurements: Shoulder seam to shoulder seam across front: 18" From top edge of jacket just above first button down to bottom: 23" Length of sleeves: 25" Across the front of the chest: 18" All measurements are approximate. I paid close to $70 for it but am happy to accept less. I will attach the original sales slip. Renaissance Fairs are just a couple months away!
