Vintage Terra Cotta Japanese Jizai Cast Iron Stand

Unknown age, but has no marking or import/ origin stamp so may be antique.  Red ceramic/terra cotta fish in the style of a sea bream with a cast iron display stand.  This type of item was used over a fireplace or pit as a intermediate between kettle and rope.  Unsure if this is solely decorative or meant to be used; very little information online and no direct comps.  Makes interesting display piece.  One foot of stand is missing; still stands upright. Really cool and unique piece!
