Vintage Taxco Adan Alverado AA Sterling Abalone Initial M W Monogramed Cufflinks

These signed 1950s or 1960s vintage Taxco handmade sterling silver and abalone shell cufflinks were made by famous Mexican silversmith Adan Alverado. They feature a large M or W Initial Monogram. Each cufflinks measures ca. 1" by 1" at front and ca. 14.6 g of silver. Marked at back as shown, "Sterling 925 Taxco" and maker mark "AA" for Adan Alverado. The quality of design and workmanship are evident as you can see from the photos, and these cufflinks have survived very well for the last 75 years! Excellent vintage condition with just fine light wear and patina as shown. I have left the patina as many collectors cherish it, but these beautiful cufflinks may also be polished back to a shiny silver with a quick wipe of a silver cloth. Beautiful addition to anyone's collection of fine Mexican silverwork.
