The back is loosely buttoned For the color use the pictures with the close ups of the black beads-it's that color-more purple than blue-shows up a little bluer in the other photos In Perfect Condition! Since this is a vintage size 12-check the measurements carefully!-It's on my size 4 mannequin and has some room, but not to fit a size 12-probably more of a 6/8
