Vintage Sumerland Sailor Anchor Knit Sweater sz M PWM1

A really cool piece-- This 70s base piece was definitely the inspiration for pieces that were made for RRL, Polo Ralph Lauren, Nigel Cabourn, and more (RRL piece is shown in the last photo). Dark Navy blue with an anchor symbol knit into the wool weave at the neckline. Long sleeves with a thick ribbed crewneck and cuffs. Overall in excellent vintage condition--- the dye is very dark and hasn't been worn hardly at all. The wool is thick and does not show any pilling or major wear. This could be a great unisex piece--- Size medium in men's would fit like a large in women's or for an oversized fit a small or medium (it would look SO good oversized!) Fit is a slim fit and vintage sizing can run small; please refer to photos for measurements!!
