Vintage Straw Hat Wide Brim High Crown Aubergine Satin Bow Valerie Modes

Classic style wide brim straw hat with high crown. Designed by Valerie Modes, this handsome hat has a pleated 2" wide satin iridescent aubergine ribbon that finishes in a 10" floppy bow at the back with 8" tails. The brim is slightly downturned at the front. It is 5 1/2" wide at the front, and 3" wide at the back. There is an elastic chin cord Size: 4" tall: 20" inner band circumference; 16" wingspan Condition: good vintage, no holes or breaks. NOTE--we believe the satin ribbon was iridescent in finish that has possibly "dried" over time as the darker spots are either less shiny or represent staining. Price: $55 #42144b.
