Vintage Design Stunning original Vintage IKEA Black-Fisk Stranne Medusa Steel & LED Lamp by Marianne Hagburg 1980. Sold exclusively at the IKEA between 1980-1992 this piece is an icon of the design giant. Constructed in stainless steel with beautiful entirely movable rubber light ‘tentacles’ this piece is a wonderful example of design from the post modernist explosion. The construction is very well executed from the switches and plugs being constructed in clear plastic to the tip of the crafted LED rubber heads. Marianne Hagburg and her husband were powerhouses of design at IKEA and pioneered the postmodernist movement. Excellent condition, all LED Rubber bulbs are in full working condition & the ‘tentacles’ are well preserved, the steel is in great condition & retains its lovely sheen with no marks, rusting or major scratches.
