Vintage Sterling Silver Carved Post Earrings Animal Figural Bird Motif

These earrings are particularly interesting in that when worn, they read as half hoops yet on closer inspection you'll see that they've been designed in the spirit of a tropical bird, the Toucan, a colourful and magical bird who plays a vital role in the health of the tropical rainforests in Central and South American. The artisan has paid attention when carving the eyes and beak as proportionately the Toucan has the largest beak as compared to the others in the bird kingdom. Earrings measure 1-1/2" north to south with a narrow width profile of 3/8" of an inch. Nice vintage condition with patina consistent of pre-owned pieces of their nature and time.
