Vintage Silver Tone Hammered Metal Rounded Cigarette Case Unmarked

Beautiful old cigarette case with a hammered style lid and a diamond shaped empty hole where a cartouche for engraving would have been (cartouche is missing). The case has a curved back to fit comfortably in a mans pocket. Measures approximately 3 1/4 inches tall by 3 inches wide by 5/8 inch thick. It has two spring loaded clips to hold cigarettes in place. There are no maker's markings noted. The case is very old, pre-owned / used and has surface wear, discolorations, and small nicks / dings consistent with being well used over the years. As noted above, the diamond shaped cartouche is missing, and there is also some sticker residue on the inside of the case surrounding where the cartouche would have been.
