nd86 @usnasi Good afternoon! It seems to be pure silk. This is over 25 years old, possibly more as it was my grandmother's. The damage I see is that it has blue stitching as pictured in the last 2 images and I uploaded another image that has pulled threading (last image). I don't know if it was actually damaged or just an odd stitch for the 2 images with blue thread as the blue thread matches the border of the saree. it's in good condition overall and is lightweight.

usnasi i mean since it is so old will it tear any time soon?

nd86 @usnasi It's made well from my observation. Like any garment, if enough force is applied or it encounters a sharp object it can tear but it doesn't seem to be weak or fragile where it would tear without a reason.
