Vintage Signed MONET 10K Plated Large Bold Textured Lovers Knot Clip On Earrings

Up for sale are these classically beautiful MONET lover's knot statement earrings. They feature a fabric-like texture in 10K gold plated metal (proven by using a testing stone and acid- see photo!) Monet was known for using triple plating for their metal pieces, which helped them retain their original finish better than most. While large, they are relatively lightweight, as the bands are not solid. They are signed "Monet PATD" on the clips. The patent (PTD) was for a type of clip that was designed for comfort. Using the metal acid scratch, they are testing as 10K plated (see photo). The Monet jewelry brand is very popular in terms of vintage costume jewelry.
