Vintage Signed Jomaz Brooch & Earrings

Vintage Signed Jomaz Brooch & Earrings- Using the registered tagline “jewels of the elite,” Jomaz advertised several lines in the late 1950s. Among them are pieces that incorporate genuine cultured pearls and clear rhinestones described as “brilliants.” Jewelry using molded glass stones were also described as “carved,” in ads of the period as well. ~ It’s a real boon for costume jewelry enthusiasts to find a complete set, also known as a parure when three or more pieces are in included. These sets are some of the costliest in the realm of collecting Jomaz jewelry. ~Each piece is marked. The pearls in the earrings look to be pinkish in color and one is a bit darker than the other. This set is probably from the 1950’s and I guess over time, some of the rhinestones have faded a bit and appear as light green but you really have to stare at them up close to notice and on the back of the brooch a small piece of the silver plating has peeled off but again, it’s a very small area. The pin and the clips work well. Truly a beautiful vintage set.
